Danielle Erica Clark is passionate about marketing and international business. She loves to travel and learn about people around the globe first-hand. 

 

She has been to over 25 countries and counting including, Canada, Israel, Mexico, France, India, Russia, Indonesia, Ukraine, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Korea, China (including Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) Vietnam, Japan, Cayman Islands, Barbados, St.Kitts & Nevis, Martinique, St. Lucia, and Antigua.

 

She was raised near San Francisco, in beautiful Marin County. She is a unique American mix of Greek, African-Middle-Eastern, and European including Spanish, Russian, and Polish. She is a descendant of Explorer Hernan Cortez, who helped found Mexico and made contact with the Aztecas. Most of her family has been in California since the 1800s.

While she was working on her Bachelor’s Degree at UCLA, she did a study abroad program, Semester at Sea. During Semester at Sea, she studied international business and visited 11 countries while on the program. After she graduated from UCLA, she moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area. By doing research at UCLA on the Internet for a professor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, she found the Internet exciting and powerful. The Internet was still in its infancy, but she was excited by the dot com boom in San Francisco. She did some networking in SF and met an entrepreneur named Steve. She worked with Steve for several years, helping him raise over $17 million dollars of funding for his Internet start-up, Qool Media.

While at Qool, she worked with Fred Bullock, a former Apple Executive. He taught her how Apple's marketing and business practices helped make Apple one of the most beloved companies in the world. After working with Qool’s CEO, CTO, and VP of Marketing, she helped create a solid product launch. The company had over 2 million members 3 months after the product launch. After Qool, Danielle embarked on a technology marketing consulting business with clients that included 

Genealogy.comFamily Tree Maker software, and Africa.com. She lived in North Carolina while working for Africa.com.

Danielle Erica's Bio Continued...

After Africa.com, she was recruited to do telemedicine for the Department of Defense as a technology contractor. She packed her bags from North Carolina and moved to Hawaii. She worked in Oahu, Hawaii for almost a year, at the Tripler Army Medical Base. She enjoyed living in Hawaii and helping people on the islands of Hawaii get top-notch medical care from military doctors using Internet technology. After Hawaii, she moved back to Marin County and continued to build her technology marketing career. She built websites, SEO/SEM campaigns, display and banner marketing programs, and email campaigns for a myriad of clients, in a variety of verticals, including the film industry, mortgage and real estate companies, and travel websites. She enjoys launching new businesses and creating a high-impact web presence for both small and large companies.

Danielle wanted to build her graphic design and web video skills, so she enrolled in San Francisco State’s  (Digital Video Intensive) Program. She graduated with a certificate from the program. In this program, she learned graphic design, web design, and how to create compelling digital videos.

Danielle Erica's Bio Continued...

After the SFSU program, Danielle was then recruited to be the Director of Marketing for The Loan Guys, based in Santa Cruz, California. Danielle loves the beach, so she was excited to help put the company, a boutique real estate firm, on the map. After much market research, she repositioned the company from a company focused on refinance, to a real estate investment and real estate equity management company. She and her team relaunched the company as a new Real Estate company focused on rental income generating properties. Danielle was in charge of using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and marketing automation tools to create solid relationships with the company’s large pool of clients. She also was responsible for the website relaunch, creating and writing a company blog, daily and weekly email campaigns, TV commercials, print, and postcard direct mail, and purchasing online leads. While at Equity Advisors, Danielle managed a relationship with Sotheby’s International Realty, which resulted in the company she worked with acquiring 68 acres of prime land coastal ocean view land in Santa Cruz County. She also helped close an $11 million dollar deal.

After over four years with Equity Advisors, Danielle decided to work with a large Silicon Valley brand. Danielle then worked for Yahoo, based in Sunnyvale, CA, and then worked for Realtor.com also headquartered in Silicon Valley.

After that, she then began working diligently with the start-up MonsterGardens.com. The company is an e-commerce company, which is one of the largest sellers of gardening products on the Internet!

 

The CEO of MonsterGardens.com came to Danielle with a small eBay business and asked her to help build the MonsterGardens.com web platform. Working with the team, Danielle created a variety of customer acquisition tactics including email campaigns, SEO, SEM, banner ads, Google AdWords, and AdRoll (on banner ad retargeting). She also created a comprehensive YouTube strategy. The YouTube strategy has been wildly successful, with now over 300 “how to garden” videos.  Click here to see MonsterGarden’s YouTube page which has over 16 million views!

A few years later she completed an executive certificate from Harvard Business School and continued working for successful technology companies.

She continues her technology marketing career working with innovative companies like eCosmos, Arise, VidDrop, and TruWorkspace.

In her over 15 years of marketing and technology experience, Danielle has helped build brands, both large and small. She enjoys technology and marketing project management and brings an entrepreneurial attitude to everything she endeavors to do.

In her free time, she enjoys the ocean, cooking some of the best vegetarian dishes on the planet, hiking, and she loves watching action and comedy films. She is single and looking forward to getting married and having children.

Her favorite destination that she has traveled to is Bali, Indonesia.
